Insurance work and reinstatement

Fire, flood, impact and escape of water. We attend, isolate and make the property safe, then scope, price and carry out the reinstatement — with the reports, photographs and certificates loss adjusters and claims handlers need to settle.

Make safe first, paperwork right behind it

The electrical side of a claim tends to sit on the critical path. Nothing else can start until the property is safe, and the claim can't settle until somebody has written down what the damage actually was. Both of those are our job.

We attend, isolate what needs isolating and make the installation safe. Then we produce a scope of works with photographs and an itemised price, so the adjuster is looking at evidence rather than an estimate. Where an EICR or condition report is needed to establish the pre-loss state, we issue that too.

What we handle

  • Emergency attendance, isolation and make-safe
  • Damage assessment and itemised scope of works
  • EICRs and condition reports for claims
  • Full and partial rewires
  • Consumer unit and distribution board replacement
  • Temporary supplies while a property is dried out
  • Photographic evidence and written reporting
  • Direct liaison with adjusters, brokers and contractors

Keeping the claim moving. You get a named engineer on the job and a written trail from first attendance to final certificate, so the claim isn't held up waiting on electrical evidence.

Detail

What adjusters get from us

  • A written trail from day one

First attendance, findings, scope, works, certificates. Every stage is documented so nothing has to be reconstructed from memory later.

  • Photographs that actually show the damage

Taken before anything is disturbed, captioned and referenced against the scope of works.

  • An itemised scope, not a lump sum

So the claim can be assessed line by line rather than argued over as a single figure.

  • One named contact

The same engineer from first attendance to final certificate. No repeating the background to a different person each time.

Common questions

Before you call

Do you work directly with insurers and loss adjusters?

Yes. We're used to reporting in the format adjusters need and dealing with them directly rather than through the policyholder.

Can you attend an emergency out of hours?

Call us. Make-safe is the part of the job that can't wait, and we treat it that way.

Can you provide a temporary supply while the property dries out?

Yes — that's the same speciality we use on school sites, applied to a damaged building.

Got a site that needs power?

Send the basics and we'll come back the same working day. For loss of supply, call instead.
