Supermarket and shop fit-out
Most of our fit-out work happens in trading stores. Night shifts, phased isolations, and a shop floor left clean and safe for a seven o'clock opening. We've delivered refits and remodels for national supermarket chains, including Morrisons stores.
Working in a store that never really closes
A retail refit is rarely a blank site. The chillers are still running, the tills are still taking money in the morning, and the aisles have to be safe for customers by the time the doors open. That changes how the electrical work has to be planned — not just what gets installed, but when each isolation happens and what stays live through it.
We programme fit-outs around trading hours rather than around our own. That usually means night shifts and early handovers, sometimes a full closure where the scope justifies it, and always a written isolation plan agreed with the store or site manager before anyone picks up a screwdriver.

Trading through the works. Every job is issued with RAMS before we start, isolations are agreed in writing with the store or site manager, and we work to whatever access window you set — nights, early mornings or full closures.

Detail
How a retail fit-out runs with us
Access window agreed first
Before pricing, we agree exactly which hours we have and what has to stay live. Everything else is planned backwards from that.
RAMS before day one
Risk assessments and method statements are issued ahead of the first shift, not chased for by your principal contractor halfway through.
Phased isolations, in writing
Each isolation is scheduled and signed off with the store manager. Nothing goes dark that wasn't on the list.
Clean floor by opening
Containment capped, cables made safe, walkways clear. The shop looks like a shop again before staff arrive.
Common questions
Before you call
Do you work nights?
Most of our retail work is done overnight or early morning. It's the normal way we programme a fit-out, not an extra.
Can you work while the store is trading?
Yes, with a phased isolation plan agreed in advance. Some works genuinely need a closure and we'll say so rather than pretend otherwise.
Do you cover the whole country?
Yes. We work nationwide and regularly travel for multi-site retail programmes.
Got a site that needs power?
Send the basics and we'll come back the same working day. For loss of supply, call instead.
